What are the odds that I write about the Buzzcocks just days ago and now they play two dates in London? What are the odds that I am not in London and I'm pissed?
For the first time since 1977 Devoto will front the infamous Buzzcocks which could be potentially be the most amazing (or pathetic) concert of all time.
Devoto split after "Spiral Scratch" to form the band Magazine, which I never liked (just saying) and was vocally replaced by the adorable and meek Pete Shelley (who is just plain wonderful) The song "Orgasm Addict" to this day is as contraversial as it is poetic.
According to Wikipedia the band name came from the "buzz" is the excitement of playing on stage; "cock" is Manchester(UK) slang meaning "mate" (as in friend/buddy) actually I like the filthier definition and so it will remain.
What are the odds these geezers will heft themselves stateside? One in a bazillion? I can hope right.. and I will.
