Henry Rollins, 10 Things You Don't Know: H2's Great New Series

long hair and many Misfit tattoos…

Henry Rollins has always been known for his ability to school people.  Like it or not he will ram something down your throat and agree or not he will present it in one of the most articulate, albeit snarky, ways.

What a perfect vehicle for him to do just that in his new H2 program “10 Things You Don’t Know”  History Chanel 2, the baby brother of the big H is going for a more hip market.  Rollins as host- is perfect.

Sporting a new shock of white hair (is that Nick Lowe on steroids) Rollins takes us on historical adventures.  I just saw Prohibition, Rollins has never been more arrogant- it suits him to a T.  Speaking of t does he ever where anything other that black on black?  I don’t think so but the white backdrop stool segments are just the perfect balance of stark and snark.

Finding out a few new facts on some historic events is great cocktail party ice breaker.  Rollins delivers it in almost comic book fashion with quick cuts from historical footage to topic pro’s.  Its addictive and fun.

“Rollins is many things,” says the Washington Post, “diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humorist, even motivational speaker…his is an enthusiastic and engaging chatter.” Entertainment Weekly’s list includes “Punk-rock icon. Spoken word poet. Actor. Author. DJ. Is there anything this guy can’t do?” TV Guide has more concisely called him a “Renaissance Man”—but if Henry Rollins could be reduced to a single word, that word would undoubtedly be “workaholic.”

Henry is an awesome guy. Having met hung out with him in the 80’s to interviewing him for this site just a few years ago he has never failed to be one thing- predictable.  When he is saving third world countries with water or spitting political venom you can rest assured he will be as predictable as tea time.  This lends to his credibility and brings us full circle- this show is tailor made for his talent.

Check your local listings for the H2 network and DVR this stuff- it’s excellent.
