3. You Called Me On The Phone – Gary Wilson – Above an Oriental piano, Gary tells another story of lovers trying to connect and failing. Hold on for a bridge, it is kills – Grade: B+
4.Romanticize Me – Pissed Jeans – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, PJ brutal vocals on brutal lyrics – Grade: A-
5. Virginia Plain – The Bryan Ferry Orchestra – 1920s ragtime instrumental by the always game Ferry and I can’t wait for the tour. Of course, there is no real reason at all for it, though the trumpet flying down to Rio needs no excuse – Grade: B+
6. You Can’t be My Girl – Darween Deez – New York indie prime contenders with a playfulness missing far too often – Grade: B+
7. Don’t Save Me – Haim – Popular indie poppers opened for Mumford And Sons last night – Grade: B
8. Mike Kennedy Is A Bad Friend – The Wonder Years – Strummy instrumental with a great title – Grade: B+
