Disneyworld's Flower Power Concert Series takes 70s heroes props them up and sends them on the road. A nice nostalgia trip well funded with Disney dollars.
The 26th annual Happy Together tour will feature The Turtles Featuring Flo & Eddie, the Buckinghams, the Grassroots, and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap. Davy Jones of the Monkees was once on that perpetual bill, and who is jumping in to cover that spot? Right, Micky Dolenz. I wonder if Pitbull will show up with Flo and Eddie to do the Men in Black tune?
Anyway, the buzz is Dolenz had to think long and hard about the tour. He didn't want people to think he was profiting off the death of Jones. "but then the fans started writing in and demanding it, how much they would love it to happen. There will be a section in the middle of the set where, of course, I will talk about him and have a couple of special songs and certainly a special moment."
A special moment- is that such a good idea? It had better not be a hologram or I'm gonna be pissed as hell. I'm ok with this, I'm not a big Micky Dolenz fan but I actually think its appropriate in this case. Rock on Micky D but no tambourine…or else.
