This is tribute to time flying. The U2 mega hit "Achtung Baby" is not 20 years old. Are you freaking kidding me? I remember clearly when it first came out and every electronic that said "Achtung" on the warning label instantly read Achtung Baby", I wasn't quite as cool as I am now back then.
Of course, there is no way that marketing maniacs can let this one go with out some mondo deluxe box set with flashing lights….
So here's what you can score on November1st
A standard CD
A standard CD, as well as a deluxe two-disc version with B-sides and rarities.
A vinyl box set will include four LPs, two of which on translucent blue vinyl along with a 16 page book.
The limited edition, individually numbered "Uber Deluxe Edition" is a magnetic puzzle tiled box which will contain: 6 CDs including the original Achtung Baby album, the follow-up album, 1993's Zooropa, B-sides and re-workings of previously unheard material recorded during the Achtung Baby sessions. Four DVDs including From The Sky Down, Zoo TV:Live From Sydney, all the videos from Achtung Baby plus bonus material.
There will also be 5 clear 7" vinyl singles in their original sleeves, 16 art prints taken from the original album sleeve, an 84-page hardback book, a copy of Propaganda magazine, 4 badges, a sticker sheet, and a pair of Bono’s trademark 'The Fly' sunglasses.
The Super Deluxe Edition will contain the 6CDs and 4 DVDs, in addition to a 92 page hardback book and 16 art prints in a wallet.
So far there is no Super Mega Uber GINORMOUS Edition which I presume would come with a vial of Bonos dead skin cells and a rare opportunity to invest in The Edges Condo association.
