Three D movies are awesome. The glasses make everyone look like Buddy Holly and I open enough to buy in to the images coming at me.
What I don’t want- is Axl Rose coming at me. Not from a screen and not in real life, but some of you out there- you want this.
Mine is not to question why but to tell you it’s happening. Guns n Roses in 3D without Slash.
Instead you get Bret Michaels long lost brother bandana, bloated and bitchy along with a band of merry men and some light show, and you will pay to hear and see the spectacle.
The performance from November 21, 2012 at the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was chosen for this project though no indication of why. Perhaps the guys felt cool that day? From the clips I have seen they are your basic live show slather with a Elvis like Rose attempting to hoist himself and serpentine as he did 30 years ago and the moves aint working.
It’s ok to age- act appropriately and you won’t be the butt of every joke. Metallica Is also working on their 3D film but at least they’ve never really had any stage appeal.. Their music stood on its own, GnR was a bit more dependent on their look and that look, my dear friends, is long gone.
The film is the first concert film in 20 years for the band- did you see the last one? No? Me neither and I doubt I will watch this one in its entirety too depressing.
”Appetite for Democracy” will be released into theatres sometime during the year along with on DVD and Blu-Ray.
