Upon getting to Warped Tour, I walked inside where the Glamour Kills and AP stages were, only to be greeted by a familiar sound in my ears. I look up and see the sign and it read, clear as can be, “Anarbor”.
The boy and I grabbed two seats and sat there. I knew I was in awe, wanting to see them for soooo long, and he seemed to be engaged as well.
I’d always been a bit nervous seeing them live, because I admire and love them so much, but I didn’t have to worry about that at all.
Being the first band, their amount of energy and excitement was incredible, and they pretty much had the early crowd rocking out, and I even saw a few “hardXcore kids” energized by Anarbor. They’re one of those unique bands that make you turn your head. After waiting at the gates for the 11:00 gate opening, the fans were there to dance and Anarbor gave them the music to do it with.
It was great to see old and newer songs represented in the shorter Warped sets, and it was absolutely perfect timing to stumble upon them.
Needless to say, they were phenominal and it was great to see them, and I will see them again when they swing our way.
Definitely a great way to start of a Warped day.
