God’s Comic Isn’t Funny (but he does have nice knees)

I have been saying  Elvis Costello is the least funny person in the world since sufferring though his “God’s Comic” give the world to the monkees monologue  time after time circa Spike 1989. This year I’ve seen him be miserably unfunny at the Beacon and while filming Spectacle –a program that must owe its existence to the most brilliant editor on television.


The folks at some Costello fan club don’t like me for that but the big (and I mean big -see the pic above… thats wife and twins with him) man backstage at the Town Hall Stand-Up For Heroes comedy show is reported as follows by gossip columnist Cindy Williams: “I’m a wreteched joke teller. I’m here to learn”. And I am here to claim vindication.

Incidentally, his wife Diane Krall was hysterical discussing the twins at Carnegie Hall.
