Glenn Beck, Glee and My Chemical Romance…
Glenn Beck sits in a big chair and trys to scare parents and everyone over 50. Everything is a conspiracy, everyone is out to get you.
Its true, he is right. He calls Glee a nightmare and again he is right.
Glenn Beck claims that My Chemical Romance's song Sing, performed by The Glee Cast is propaganda. It is. Propaganda of sucking.
These lyrics in particular:
"Cleaned up corporation progress dying in the process / children that can talk about it living on the railways / people moving sideways / sell it till your last days / buy yourself the motivation / generation nothing / nothing but a dead scene / product of a white dream."
Its really rather hilarious footage he whispers the warning of this 'rally cry'. The cast of Glee are a pathetic group of actors in a nearing the end of its glory days. My Chem gets some mainstream attention and Glenn runs to hide under the sofa.
So now we have Rush and Glenn standing on chairs with a whip crying into their tissues about the youth being manipulated. I find this very funny simply because it shows that ignorance is not only contagious its encouraged. Its the same as the infamous record crashing "Rock and Roll Has Got To Go'', from the 50's.
There comes a day when adults turn a corner and fear everything, I have not hit that point yet. But I can say Glee is awful, and I can say that My Chemical Romance is pretty awesome. I can say the Cast of Glee sounds like Satan's gargle to me, but propaganda? I do believe Mr Beck is the one spreading the rally cry of paranoia.
