The Glazzies Lead by Spalding’s Son Forrest Gray
From Monster In A Box on Andrew Blauner, Michael Blauner and I went to every single Spalding Gray show and with the possible exception of A Slippery Slope. The Blauner’s used to keep me hysterics with the tory of how they once hung out after the show and gave the genius molnologist a lift home and bothered him relentlessly Gray was the genius monologist who killed himself a couple of years ago.
Forrest Gray is the lead guitarist for indie NYC rock band the Glazzies who sound really, really good on the two songs I’ve heard. especially “February”. The lead vocalist has a rawness to his vocals and the drums are harsh and simple.
They are playing tomorrow at Kenny’s Castaways and it is really great to see Spalding’s son made it out so well.
