A sucker is born every minute.
At this point you just have to love Gene Simmons. The carnival huckster he has become is outstanding. Anyone who can continue to think up ideas on how to capitalize on a band that hasn’t done squat in forever is a genius. There I said it. You may find him annoying you may find him a rock God but underneath all that kink and paste is a PT Barnum moneymaking machine.
So where’s his next buck coming from?
Food.
Gene Simmons will open the first Rock & Brews restaurant April 3 in El Segundo, Calif. designed “with an ambiance reminiscent of being back stage at a rock event.”
Rock & Brews will feature a play area for kids and a large open-area area for dogs, along with picnic tables, rock posters and rock art, concert lighting and retractable projection screens and speakers.
The menu will include “opening act” appetizers, “VIP” salads, hand-crafted burgers, “headliner” sandwiches, “front row” pizzas and “Encores” desserts and of course tons of beer. This whole thing sounds embarrassing but should make a mint.
