Gene Simmons Couldn't Get Led Zeppelin Back Together

UK Newspaper  The Sun always has the greatest stories and this is no different.  Apparently KISS leader Gene Simmons was offered quite a few dollars to reunite Led Zeppelin.

“In 2009/10 I was given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy and Robert and trying to convince them to get back together.

“Of course, it didn’t work. Robert just doesn’t want to do it.”

Simmons won’t divulge the name of the promoter but the cash was revoked when he couldn’t seal the deal.  He was bummed but that’s ok, he’s a huckster anyway.

On the flip side there is some negative buzz going on about Led Zeps ‘Celebration Day’ film.  “Celebration Day” chronicle the 2007 reunion show which apparently will never be had again.   Fans are disappointed in the quality and volume of the soundtrack

A band statement says: “We have been made aware that at some screenings of Celebration Day, there have been complaints that the sound is not loud enough.

“Omniverse, the film’s distributors have been working with local cinema chains to ensure that this issue is addressed urgently. However, it is a good idea to check with the cinema before the screening that they will be playing it loud!”

Drummer Bonham  stated,  “I went to my local cinema to take it all in,” he says, “and I was blown away with the reaction. It was a special night and it’s captured beautifully. I must buy a projector and big screen so I can enjoy it at home.”

Who the hell has a projector in 2012?  Not even theaters!  Sorta cute in an out of touch way.
