Garbage "Blood For Poppies" Video Review

Before I begin I want to state that I adore Garbage.  Shirley Manson is nothing short of Goddess and has one of the most beautiful voices in rock and roll.  I have waited a great while from the band and I am so happy new tunes are on the way.  As mentioned before the tune " Blood For Poppies" didn't exactly knock my socks off.  It just didn't hit me.  Generally Garbage will pull give an uneasy feeling, this tune sounded far too pop.

The video?  Mute the sound on this and it is every 35+ musicians 'artsy' video.  I would say I'm disappointed in this wanna be Twilight Zone, Outer Limits 50s duck and cover influenced three minutes but its too comedic to say even that.  What has happened to Garbage and who hid their cool?

Its tough, it really is to be a hardcore fan and not like new work.  Especially new work that we've waited forever for.  I suppose sound evolves so I can let the song pass but creative minds can come up with something better than this grainy tryst.

Manson is as beautiful as ever, the film noire' bit is really in character but simply said this video isn't worth the investment.  I wasn't engaged, I wasn't amused and I wasn't impressed.

I know the band has a nice biting sense of humor and I hope this is a joke, but I want the old Garbage back.
