Maybe Titus, maybe Screaming Females MAYBE Pissed Jeans but, maybe this is it folks: Fucked Ups 15 and a half minute opus"Year Of The Toger" is one of the most glorious sounds you'll hear this year,
Epic in intent, and epic in execution, the song goes through moods and sounds, vocalists and guitar parts, pianos and drums and it moves and moves and moves sometimes hash hardcore, sometimes, wall of sound prog rock, sometimes twee pop, there is even a monolgue before it goes berzerk again. Building on all foundations and maintaining and maintaining it.
I wasn't a huge fan of David Comes Alive, I liked it, but not to the degree other people did. But here is where I join in the choir of praise: this ode to the Tiger because:
a) This is part of Fucked Ups zodiac collection, Chinese zodiac of course.
b) And it is the year of the dragon
and
c) And part of their profits are going to Save The Tiger.
The first three minutes sounds just like the Who and then it gets lourder and then it goes weird and then I play it again.
