Why so many free concerts on Thursday nights in Los Angeles? Another set has been announced at Universal City Walk, the shopping-entertainment pedestrian street close to the amusement park, where they have upgraded the concert stage. According to the LA Times, the stage is now a ‘5 Towers stage, described as an interactive outdoor concert venue incorporating light tower sculptures, thousands of LED fixtures, motion-capture sensors, a massive video screen and sound system’. Well, that sounds over the top, but I hope to be able to check it out some day.
Cee Lo Green has started on Thursday July 7th! But I could not go,….then, among other bands, the series will continue with Alien Ant Farm (July 9), Carolina Liar (July 16), Mr. Chuy (July 17), Close to Home (July 22), Shytown (July 23), Stealing Heather and Jared Lee (July 30), and Dyland and Lenny (Aug. 21).
With all these free concerts all over town, I need to find a way to clone myself, or something.
