Freddie Mercury To Appear On Stage At the 10th Anniversary of 'We Will Rock You'

The very successful Tupac hologram episode at Coachella was certainly the open door for many similar things to follow: Queen’s guitarist Brian May said in a interview with the BBC that the band is working on a way to bring back Freddie Mercury for the tenth anniversary of the rock musical ‘We will Rock You’.

It is not exactly a hologram though, May described it as ‘an optical illusion of sorts’ but what’s the difference at the end? Apparently their technique will be a stunning one since he added: ’People will come out saying, ‘did we actually see Freddie?

But May was very eager to reclaim the idea, declaring: ‘It’s a little unfortunate they did that thing with Tupac as we’ve been trying to make Freddie appear on the stage for quite a while.’ Whoever got the idea first, it has been in the air for some time, and whatever technology they will use, the intention is the same: it's exploitative and greedy.

You will have to go in London to experience it, as it will take place during a special performance of the musical on May 14 at London’s Dominion Theater, and don’t expect them to repeat it several times as May said that the technique was ‘not really quite practical’ for a show ‘that runs eight shows a week’.

I bet they will find a way to repeat it, and does this mean Adam Lambert can retire?
