Queen on Crack! That is how I would describe my new favorite band Foxy Shazam. Thanks to my friend Paul for introducing me to this amazing fun band.
The lead singer, Eric Nally, sounds and kind of looks like the legendary Freddie Mercury.
Foxy Shazam is a mix of rock, funk, punk and whatever type of music you can think of. There is a lot of different directions the band takes on their self titled major label debut. They have a piano and horn player, along with some great back-up vocals. Their tunes are very catchy and great to sing along to. Just a fun record.
Some of my favorite tracks are “Oh Lord”, “Connect”, “Count Me Out” and “Evil Thoughts”. However, listen to the entire album – all 11 songs. There hasn’t been a new band around that one can say that all the songs on their debut are great. I am telling you, this is it.
