Foo Fighters Free Instore Appearance For Record Store Day

Another Foo Fighters concert, but this time it is free. On Record Store Day, April 16th, they will play a free in-store concert at Fingerprints Records in Long Beach.

The only catch: you will need a wristband received with the purchase of their upcoming album ‘Wasting Light’ that can be pre-ordered now at the store.
Of course there is a limited number of these wristbands, only 200 (it’s a small independent store), and you must come in person to get it, no emails, no phone calls.

‘. I grew up discovering music that changed my life in record stores like Fingerprints and will always do everything I can to keep that experience alive for generations to come,’ said Dave Grohl.

Since this news was communicated on Monday, I would assume that, by the time you’re reading this, the wristbands are already all gone. I wonder if people have camped in front of the store like it was the case for Arcade Fire (Fingerprints was one of the stores which were selling tickets).

It seems that Record Store Day grows every year, I wonder what Amoeba, Origami Vinyl and Vacation Vinyl in my neighborhood are gonna do.
