Who needs all the hastle of going to an actual concert anymore? Movie theaters have killer sound systems, comfy chairs, clean restrooms(generally) and snacks.
Perhaps this is why the Foo Fighters will be screening their own film next month. A chronicle of their 16 year history. Hard to believe isnt it, sixteen years of Foo. I like them at times, I’m not a huge fan but I also am not a hater. They’re just filler music to me until something more interesting comes along.
The film , “Foo Fighters: Back and Forth” will debut at SXSW festival taking place March 11-20. The film will then be screened at select U.S. theatres April 5, according to the Los Angeles Times. What theaters will feature this is in the hands of the fans so to speak. Fans vote for their locals here: http://foofighters.cinedigm.com.
Here’s the proverbial ‘wow’ factor I guess…
“Before their new lp, Wasting Light hits stores Foo Fighters will perform the album from start-to-finish during the documentary tie-in performance. The performance will be shown via live feed following the documentary.”
So there you have it, all the fun of a real show without the hand stamp and parking fees.
