D.R.U.G.S is a great band that we had the pleasure of interviewing in a mens room in Providence Rhode Island a few months ago. The band is now headlining the AP Tour and this week will hit NY and CT.
Right on the heels of the release of the video for their single "Sex Life". I suggest the next song be 'Crack Pipe" or "Jesus Killer" cuz it seems they do best with the controversial tags.
The song is really quite well done, Craig Owens voice sounding softer but not quite as feminine as his speaking voice. There's a rasp to it in this song that is just wonderful not sure how it was achieved but its really stunning. The opening is almost Queen inspiring. Really an epic entrance. I love it.
That being said the video is a hot dumb mess. Why was it made? I suppose concert footage would have been better but this is a thumbs down visual on a arms up audio.
I suppose there could be an 'uncensored' version that could portray it better but the sharpie labeled t-shirts fell flat, BUT Aaron Stern's amazing Clash shirt is a first class win!
Love this band, L.O.V.E. this song… the video.. meh… to watered down for this much power.
