Getting ready for Tuesday's Watch The Throne concert, I was surprised at some of the albums missing in their entirety. Jay-Z passing on Kingdom Come, might make sense, but Reasonable Doubt? ANd American Gangster? Dump a WTT track and stick in "Roc Boys" for fucks sake.
Yeah weird but nothing compared to Kanye West's ridiculous decision to ignore debatably his greatest achievement 808s And Heartbreaks -a devastated ode to loss. I (insanely) decided to skip the concert I may have been broke at the time. The loss is mine, never having the opportunity "Love Lockdown", "Heartless" "Love Lockdown" "Pinnochio Story" -any of these brilliant songs in a live setting. And I won't at the concert. Sucks to be me, right?
It really begs an answer as to why. Why would Kweezy ignore such showstoppers. To play more from WTT? Does he really think the world needs to hear "H.A.M." live, let alone have it open the show.
And what the fuck is it with the ending of the set? 4 out of 5 off WTT. Or as we like to call it, head for the doors early without actually missing anything. Though the setlist I'm looking at is early, later ones are just as bad.
They have added "Lift Off" and I am guessing Beyonce will be in attendance on Tuesday at ground zero!
