Emmylou Harris Is Streaming At My House

Hard Bargain – Emmylou Harris – Country icon Harris has had her moments but as a solo artist she is a little bland for all her prettiness. Grade: B

I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive – Steve Earle – I was hoping it would be a touch more countryish, but that's nitpicking. Could be an album of the year. Grade: A-

Start And Complete – About Group – member of Spiritualized and Hot Chip and This Heat, put together a supergroup who truly suck. Improvised it sez here, perhaps but it doesn't forgive it. The moral? Leave off the tape in the studio. Grade: D+

Two – Lenka – Awful sing songwriter. Grade: C-

Forever Today – I'm from Barcelona – It took Swedish musicians to perform this blah Belle and Sebastian rip? fine, but you think one would advise em to not call a song Charlie Parker. Grade: C+

Night Covers – The Watson Twins – Again, why precisely does the world need another "Ain't No Sunshine". Terrible covers EP by Jenny Lewis pal. Grade C-

Here's Where The Strings Come In – Superchunk – 1995 reissue, if the lead singer had a different voiced they'd have been huge. Grade: B+

Belle Brigade – Belle brigade – OK, these guys need to go away. One great song does not an album make. "Fasten you to Me" is such a fragile drag, it should be shot at dawn for impersonating a song. Grade: B-

The Music Glee Presents The Warblers – The absolute pits, the cover of "Teenage Dream" is unbearable. Everything is unbearable. When will these guys be over? Grade: F

Gunz N Butta – Cam'ron and Vado – Love the raps, love Cam'rons voice, but the backing tracks and rhythms aren't all that. Grade: B

American Legacies by The Del McCoury Band and the Preservation Hall Band – N'orleens jazz meets bluegrass. Grade: B+
