The reviews of the Eminem/Jay-Z Detroit show are in and it seems to me that Jay-Z was more of the same and that Eminem killed. B.o.B. opened, and Drake came out for a song, Dre guested (I bet we get Kanye, hope they do “Monster”).Apparently it was after a weak concert at Comerica Park that Eminem cancelled a European tour stuck himself in rehab, according to Billboard.
I saw Eminem on the Anger Management tour and thought he sucked and, as mentioned elsewhere today, nothing is worse than a bad live show.
So now… I wasn’t much overwhelmed by the Jay-Z setlist, “Dynasty,” “Run This Town,” “Free Mason,” “On to the Next One” , “D.O.A.,” “Take Over” , “You Don’t Know”, “Hard Knock Life -the usual suspects. and hope he refreshes it for Yankee Stadium.
But the wide ranging 33 song career spanning Eminem set sure seems to be the goods.
