There are stories that I can’t comprehend. First, I never understand why people care so much about other people’s personal business, such as sex life and life style. Secondly, when people share the same life style, why would they choose to criticize it at the risk to be detrimental to their own interest? It doesn’t make any sense to me but this is nevertheless what is happening.
Designers Dolce & Gabbana have made some very stupid comments about same sex-families and In Vitro Fertilization in an interview they gave to Panorama magazine. According to the Telegraph, they declared stuff like:
‘We oppose gay adoptions. The only family is the traditional one.
‘No chemical offsprings and rented uterus: life has a natural flow, there are things that should not be changed.’
Chemical offsprings? What the hell are they talking about? But these two idiots continued and Dolce added that procreation ‘must be an act of love’, declaring, ‘You are born to a mother and a father – or at least that’s how it should be’… ‘I call children of chemistry, synthetic children. Rented uterus, semen chosen from a catalog.’ And Gabbana added, ‘The family is not a fad. In it there is a supernatural sense of belonging.’
And of course these two brain-dead fashion aficionados were a couple for 23 years (they broke up in 2005) but they are still gay right?
It didn’t take long for Elton John to get outraged (rightly so) and to react on Instagram:
‘How dare you refer to my beautiful children as “synthetic”. And shame on you for wagging your judgmental little fingers at IVF – a miracle that has allowed legions of loving people, both straight and gay, to fulfill their dream of having children. Your archaic thinking is out of step with the times, just like your fashions. I shall never wear Dolce and Gabbana ever again. #BoycottDolceGabbana’
And he is right about everything, especially about the bad and expensive fashion! Seriously, are these people aware of basic biology? Probably not, otherwise they would know that IVF is done using a sperm coming from a man’s testicles and an egg coming from a woman’s ovaries, nothing unusual about that, it’s just helping people having children, and by the way mostly heterosexual people.
But more than the method, Gabbana is totally opposed to a child raised by same-sex parents as he already said in 2006: ‘I am opposed to the idea of a child growing up with two gay parents.’… ‘A child needs a mother and a father. I could not imagine my childhood without my mother. I also believe that it is cruel to take a baby away from its mother.’
Take a baby away from its mother? What is he talking about? We will soon be able to make a baby using two men’s cells, yes two men with no woman involved, so science is awesome and Gabbana is retarded.
Gabbana responded to Elton John, qualifying him of fascist followed by #boycotteltonjohn, and even brown-nose Courtney Love got involved!
So what is the problem with these two Italians? This can’t be good for sales when major rock stars ask for a boycott as rock stars are actually the only ones who can afford their super expensive rags. Come on D & G, you need the gays to pay all this over-priced crazy stuff. And what is this ‘supernatural sense of belonging’? Here we go again, bringing their god to preach ignorance and intolerance. But I still don’t understand pictures like this one, this one, or this one…. It seems Dolce & Gabbana have abundantly used the gay-couple-with-children image before, so what are they talking about? That’s why I hate the Catholic church and the fashion industry, they are both hypocrites, and they actually go hand in hand together in Italy, just look at the pope’s outfits!
