At the Warped tour, it is reported that a booth is selling these ‘Elliott Smith was murdered’ t-shirt. The bold letters are so huge, you would have to be blind to miss anyone wearing this from miles away.
It is sold by ‘All About Records’, a DIY record label out of Southeastern, Massachusetts, independently owned and operated since 1997. I left a comment on their facebook to know more about their intention when they made this t-shirt.
Is this only a move to sell t-shirts, and one more time, a way to make money at Elliott Smith’s expense, or is it a profound conviction of theirs?
The case is still open, has stayed inconclusive for almost 8 years, and nothing has been proven yet. I doubt such a shirt can make things progress in any direction, as those who believe he committed suicide are gonna be offended and scream blasphemy.
