To call Eatliz weird doesn’t quite grasp it. They are weird but not because they are experimental, but because of the way they juxtopose different musical elements which shouldn’t be so comfortable together.
On the Israeli bands new song “Sunshine” a good indie power ballad with an occasional Middle Eastern lick, the song is interrupted by ajazz break.
Why is a saxophone break interpreting the song?
It doesn’t fit, “We are desert people, we are trees” thelead singer claims.
In other words it is multi-culti power indie dark ballad rock plus jazz.
