I have to say it: Miike Snow is dope. I love their production style. The band consists of the high-profile Swedish pop duo Bloodshy & Avant and American singer/songwriter Andrew Wyatt. Their effortless blend of pop, indie, and electronica creates a great feeling on most tracks.
The song that grabbed my attention is “Song for No One,” but they have several jams. “Animal” is really tight, and the Mark Ronson remix on their Myspace page kills it. “In Search Of” is great as well.
I realize that I might be a little late on the Miike Snow bandwagon, but count me aboard. They have two sold out shows at Terminal 5 on Oct. 6 and 7. Its a shame, I’d like to see how they hold up live…
