What is happening here is a tsunami music apocalypse as a business. Is that a bad thing? Nature abhors a vacuum, but music money can't see to be filled up again. Who can make a buck outta tee-shirts and that is all that appears left.
Listen, if you're a Black Lips on continual tour, hey, it is better than working a 9 – 5, get to hang out with cool people, laid a lot, make enough bucks. I dunno but say between 100K – 250K per. But no health insurance and not a very great life expectancy which is good news because the nation will be bankrupt long before you real 69 (that's right -IF YOU'RE LUCKY).
The flip side? More people making more music for more people than ever.
