A few weeks ago a statement was released to announce that DWP keyboardist James Barney was no longer in the band.
The statement left a few brows furrowed: "With great deliberation and difficulty, we have decided to part ways with our keyboardist,"
Seems like he got the boot doesn't it? Well then there was some suggestion that he left of his own accord. The bands Facebook and some tweets then turned and it appeared a mutual decision.
Now? Now it seems like a big fat Yoko Ono story, for suddenly there is mention of Barneys wife. The definitive statement front he horses mouth,
"While I appreciate the support, one thing should be cleared up. Leaving the band was not actually my decision… The other members extended their prayers to my wife and I, however, she was not a factor in the process at all… I felt it necessary to deliver her from any prejudice surrounding the departure… but to also clarify that I have no intentions necessarily of staying home for future work. Thanks again for all the continued support."
Now you tell me. Does that statement lead us to think that perhaps Mrs. Barney was not working out in the scheme of things? Certainly does to me. Perhaps she wanted creative input instead of sandwich making or maybe she wanted in the band like a Linda McCartney?
Regardless.. hardcore bands don't need keyboardists if they have a mac.
