Dee Snider Does Broadway

One day someone let Dee Snider think he was a good singer.  This was when he was coated in blonde fro and make up.  We let him ramble on and not take it and all that jazz cuz it was the 80s.  Every mainstream wanna be in the class of 1984 loved Twisted Sister and Van Halen.  I would rather swallow a wire coat hanger than listen to either.

That being said we have already discussed Dee's adventure sin "Rock of Ages".  "Rock of Ages" is a Broadway show for the kids of 1984 to feel cool again.  See they think they'll get lucky in the back of their Camaro after the show like the old days but truth is they'll be paying this sitter or taking home a brisket from their mother in law for watching the rugrats then heading to Home Depot for some grout or something.

Sorry.. random rant there…

So anyway Dee Snider is recording an album of Broadway standards.  No track listing or art yet so quit bawling about it- it'll be here soon enough. Dee did Tweet "he did Tweet "Just finished recording two more vocals for my 'Dee Does Broadway' record. Six down, four more tracks to go. Back in studio tomorrow."  oh yippee…

Ok in closing here is a cute little quote from Mr Snider now that he's a hot shot Broadway star:

"The biggest difference between a concert situation and a theater situation is that you can't curse out the audience. I'm used to addressing situations. If something is going on in the house that I don't like at a concert, or if the audience is not energized or enthusiastic … or if they're particularly energized and enthusiastic … I will stop a song just to comment on what's going on. I quickly realized that was unacceptable on Broadway. I just have to stay in character and stay in the show."
