David Cassidy Sues Sony Pictures for $10 Million

From 1970 to 1974 The Partridge Family entertained America with its wholesome rock and roll living.  This wasn't the Osborne's it was ridiculously squeaky clean even when the band played some dicey dinner theaters.

Shirley Jones played a widowed mother of 5 making a living with her kids in this puffy shirted band.  Remember Tracy?  She was the youngest red haired and nearly catatonic with a tambourine. Weirdest kid character ever.  I'm not sure if it was an act or if she was someone's kid put on set to fill space and she was scared to death?

Anyway, David Cassidy was the oldest son and the 'cute' one- seriously girls screamed but for some reason only outside his school- again, good clean fun.

Nothing so clean about suing Sony Pictures Entertainment for back royalties on merchandise- and can you imagine how much that would net?  Cassidy is heading in for 10 million stating he was shorted decades ago.  Cassidy says that in the time he was with the show he earned no more than $15,000 from merch sales and estimates his share of the royalties is in excess of $10 million.

Here is the kicker- Cassidy wants a jury, Sony wants closed door arbitration.  Hmm.. I hear a check being signed.
