This Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine guy cannot shut up! I know, I already wrote about him and his ‘endorsement’ of Rick Santorum, and, after the bad press he got (he even declared he hadn’t endorsed the guy, although he did in my book!), you would think he would limit the topic of his conversation with journalists to…. what he does,… like music?
Jesus, no! He is again talking to the LA Weekly a day before Megadeth hits the Gibson Amphitheater, and opening his big mouth about subjects he should even not be concerted about.
Beside the fact that he reiterates his admiration for Rick Medieval Santorum with a: ‘I think probably the classiest guy out of all of them is Rick Santorum’, the dumbest part of the interview is probably the following:
‘There's so many houses without a dad that it's just terrible. I mean, you know how they used to say there should be a license to have a baby? Well, as far-fetched as that sounds, I really think that, if the parents aren't going to stick together, they shouldn't make that kind of commitment to life. I watch some of these shows from over in Africa, and you've got starving women with six kids. Well, how about, you know, put a plug in it? It's like, you shouldn't be having children if you can't feed them.’
The last part is just horrific,… put a plug in it? Is he only aware of the disastrous anti-contraception campaigns that Catholics have run for decades in Africa? They have repeated to Africans for decades that condoms don’t work or that they are even the cause of AIDS!!! The pope himself told a few years ago that ‘AIDS is a tragedy that cannot be overcome by money alone, and that cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravate the problems.’
It is such nonsense to hear Mustaine saying African women should ‘put a plug in it’ when his religion he parades all the time during his interviews have never given a chance to these women to have a plug.
And I am not even talking about Mother Theresa who declared that abortion was ‘the greatest destroyer of peace’ when she received the Nobel Peace Prize. Talk about demonizing birth regulation!
And of course, according to Mustaine’s misogynistic views, women are the ones who should put the plug, as we all know men have nothing to do with making children,… what a tool he is! I am not even going into the fact he was targeting 'African' people…
Mustaine thinks Santorum is a great guy, but the Republican moron never stops talking about ‘the dangers of contraception’,… doesn’t Mustaine see a contradiction there? But again Santorum justified his view on contraception by talking about babies born out of wedlock… err? I will repeat, Santorum doesn’t see a contradiction there.
Why journalists aren’t confronting Mustaine with all this? Why do they let him think he can say anything he wants without even being challenged? And why do they ask him his opinion about things like these? Please, stick to the music!
