In a discussion with Love Grenades Elizabeth Wight a coupla weeks ago she mentioned she is not responsbile for the remizes released by her label. I guess it’s a decision between the label and her manager. Got me wondering who else gets a say in the remixes.
In a recent interview David Geutta discussed the decision making process he and Will I Am went through in choosing a smaple for Black Eyed Peas and I am hard pressed to believe a control freak like Madonna isn’t involved every step of the way whoever the DJ behind her remix might be.
But what about Britney Spears? The remixes are central to The Singles Collection without them all we are discussing is song sequencing. So is that it? Is there nothing. not even a meeting, between SPears and Armand? How about Guetta and Kelly rowland? Does the artist emerge as a hired gun on the DJ’s album?
