Dunno about you but the two albums I’ve been gagging for all year are follow-ups to wonderful works and still not here.
Everybody says Kanya West’s, debatably speaking, best album of the century 808s And Heartbreaks and Kid Cudi’s sophomore effort are still being twiddled, twaddled, and basically anywhere but here.
The word is Kanya’s Good Ass Music is ready to drop any day lnow except… it is not called Good Ass Music anymore, and following as it does, the stupified and lost horros of the poetically marvelled last album, it might not be the worst idea on earth to change its name.
And though “Power” was pretty good, it was still only pretty good.
Kid Cudi, on the other hand, has been make a complete ass of himself between ego trips, hard drugs, and woman beating. His follow up to the excellent Days ‘N’ Nights has been put off till late October.
What does it all mean? Among other things, it means these two guys have a helluva lot riding on this one.
