Crystal Castles' Alice Glass Rightly Attacks Katy Perry, For Hypersexualizing Little Girls

Vocalist Alice Glass, from the Canadian electronic band Crystal Castles, was interviewed by NME, and beside slamming Mitt Romney, she had this to say about pop singers like,… Katy Perry:

‘I think a lot of kids are more sexualized now than they were now than they were years ago and I'm not sure it's a coincidence. Like fucking Katy Perry spraying people with her fucking dick, her fucking cum gun coming on fucking children. And little girls, like six-year-old girls wearing a shirt with 'I wanna see your [pea] cock' on it.’
‘Don't prey on vulnerable people like that. Don't encourage little girls to get dressed up, to have cupcakes on their tits to get people to lick them off 'cos that's what you're insinuating.’

Certainly Katy Perry shouldn’t be blamed alone for this, but as I am around young girls all the time, I can say this is really true, some little girls are dressed up like a pedophile's phantasm, and what was regarded as racy and risqué a few years ago, is totally mainstream. I certainly don’t want to sound prudish at all, but I see 13-year-old with plunging cleavages and revealing shorts as if they were posing for Hustler magazine! And I hardly exaggerate! So when Katy Perry sprays the crowd with the milk shake coming from her big tits, always licking a large lollypop, always looking like the falsely innocent sweet girl living in porn candyland, she is playing a dangerous game: she brings sexually charged images right in the middle of the childhood playground and teenage dreams. She is certainly not the only one doing it, but she is an obvious one right now.

She is promoting sex as if it was one of the pink candies or giant cupcakes decorating her bra, but she has been proven to be a total hypocrite about the subject with her humble beginning as a failed Christian singer. She is one of these pop artists out there, who has a big influence on sexuality of teens whereas these same teens don’t know much about sexuality yet. Katy Perry serves blowjobs to children who haven’t reach puberty, and teens who haven’t seen the use of a condom yet. And why is this bad? Oh just because tons of studies have shown that girls who are exposed to hyper-sexualized media content, can experience trouble in their cognitive and emotive development such as eating disorders, low self-esteem, depression, and are less apt to pursue careers in science or technology and more susceptible to have a diminished sexual health. So Alice Glass is right, Katy Perry’s influence is bad (just like her music) and she should just disappear.
