Creedence Clearwater Revival Not To Reunite: "Leopard Doesn't Change Its Spots"

How bad a bad guy is John Fogerty?

I've been in the advertising business for 25 years and I can't think of a single person I've done business with who wouldn't do business with me again. OK, I'm a bit of a good guy but that notwithstanding, I just don't beieve I'd be passed on.

If I was to add millions, a payday unlike they had ever seen before, into the mix? You better believe I could cut a deal.

So I can think of no greater indictment of Fogerty as a man than that his former bandmates Stu Cook and Doug Clifford refuse to discussing reuniting the band despite Fogerty's that "he'd sit long to listen with an "a leopard doesn't change his spots" .Who wouldn't want to see the original Creedence Clearwater Revival back together? I might pass at a $100 for a nose bleed to John, I'd pony up for CCR, no doubt.

At the time of the band break-up, my sense was Fogerty was fucked by the record companies and the rest of the band didn't support him. In retrospect, and certainly after everything I've heard about the man, perhaps there was more to the split then just that. Perhaps Fogerty was the deeper root reason.

For sure, if you aren't getting over a fight in 40 years, you are never getting over it.
