Formed in 1998 on the lower east side, Crazy Mary rail against the selling of the spirit of rock and roll, where St. Mark’s Place has become a world of karoake bars and tourists traps, and the scuzzy, sexy spirit of bankrupt and dangerous and gorgeous Manhattan has been eaten alive by corporations.
And what they provide in return is 60s inspired hard rock with a real good chick singer and a psychedelic Doorsy buzz going on.
The claim the Stones but they also claim Jefferson Airplane as influeces and on their new album Water On The Moon you can hear both and more (even the Dead on a country ramble like “Another Dollar”). I like em a lot, especially the keyboard player. I bet they kill live.
