The genius Craig Owens’ new band, D.R.U.G.S., conveniently signed to Pete Wentz’s record label Decaydance, apparently also contains Matt Good who used to be in From First To Last.
What a pleasant surprise.
Knowing Owens has struggled with drugs in the past, the band is an acronym for “Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows”. I don’t think that the name is stupid or for attention. Craig is reflective of his past, and the acronym really shows what drugs, his past, and recovery is all about- God helping you in the end.
It’s rare you find a band name that’s not random, or stupid, or has no meaning. This one does. I’m quite pleased with the lineup of the band as well. I’m more than excited because From First To Last’s guitarist Matt is phenomenal and with Craig’s voice and talent, the band is sure to be impressive. I can’t wait to hear from D.R.U.G.S.
