Coolest Place On Earth: Savannah’s Karoake Bar McDonaugh’s
I got this from today’s Page Six. Counting Crow’s bafflingly succesful ladies man and Counting Crows lead singer Adam Duritz and bafflingly attracted to Duritz lovely young actress Emma Russum were in Savanhah for the local film festival.
Late one night they went to McDonaugh’s, a Karoake bar, and after being begged by fans to get up and sing fo them. Eventually he agreed but the management, not unlike millions of honest hard working Americans, turned him down. Apparently it was too close to closing time.
Acts of courange like this don’t go unnoticed in Rock NYV and I hereby award the McDonaugh’s management the first annual Cool Like Paul Finn Award. Congrats to all and long may Adam Duritz’s be thwarted in his attempts to sing to the populace.
