Debutant Disco is an…interesting…band to say the least. Their mixed sounds of pop, alternative, a generic-radio music makes them quite an odd group.
“Kharma” starts up quick and seems like a song you’d hear in a movie during a road trip scene. I usually completely hate girl singers, but her voice is tolerable. The underlying music makes it a song that I can listen to and enjoy.
“xperience” is kind of like any other songs of Debutant Disco’s. It’s a good song, as is their other music, but it all sounds the same. Sure there are bands that sound similar, but usually one band’s songs don’t mush together.
I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between “kharma” and “xperience” but it’s good. Debutant needs to not play it so safe and take more risks in their songs to make them stand out.
If you’re going to be a unique band, make sure your songs don’t sound the same as the other ones. Debutant Disco is good, better than 9.5/10 of girl bands, but they lack variety
