Tonight I had the opportunity to be a part of the Fuse Music Collective. Representatives of Fuse TV had an open live chat in real time as we collectively watched the induction of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Respresentatives of Fuse along with a handful of fans bantered back and forth about the performances and performers. I found that we asked eachother just as many questions as answered.
We asked eachother questions about the industry itself from Hall of Famers to up-and-comers, how musicians have to start their own labels in the case of Odessa or Don Giovanni, to why Iggy Pop always has to take his shirt off.
What will be done with the information is beyond me, but I do want to offer a shout out to Karen and Lisa of Fuse. It was nice to share my opinion and be able to namecheck bands like Titus, Spiderbags, Modern Hut.
I noticed throughout the conversation that it became Fuse and Helen Bach, which made me nervous at first but then I realized it was pretty cool. How many opportunities do people have to hang out with the chicks at Fuse? Not many, but it was me. But don’t you guys worry, I didn’t forget the little ones, and I mentioned you all.
