Color Gerard Way Rebellious

So how does a 30 something punk rocker rebel? Is there anything for the contented middle class husband and father to do when there is no enemy left?
This is what Gerard Way had to say about the subject, “I’m happier, but I think in some odd ways more rebellious. In some ways the colour is more rebellious, even if it’s self-rebellion, there’s no big, secret, hidden enemy. We’re in our 30s and we’re in a rock band and you see things start to happen with bands at that period of life. I think it was a rebellion against that, against being brought into that whole modern rock thing.”
This is a problem that has afflicted rock bands from the beggining. The “hope I die before I get old” syndrome. When you start yourself on the outside, what do you do when you find yourself in the middle?

In other news? Gerard told the Sunday Mirror this could be goodbye Vienna for the band: “This record could be our last big adventure – that’s why we had to make it again, that’s why we spent the money, that’s why we’re going to spend more on how it looks than we ever have,” . Since MCR is a one man band, how does he break up with himself?
