My dance card in November is all but empty as we speak!! So I spent this morning in search of at least one concert for next week and turned up with Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby at Bowery Electric.
Amy Rigby you probably know… you know the “Beer And Kisses” alt country rocker. I saw her open for Graham Parker in 1996 and thought she was fabulous.
Wreckless Eric you know better still… “I’ve travelled the whole wide world to be here toniiiiigh’…” A great songwriter from 1978 and part of the Live Stiffs crowd. One of the best parts. An English everyman like Ian Dury.
I’ve never seen the reckless one and if he rolls out “Reconnez Cherie” I will personally flip out.
Amy and Eric are married and have released a coupla albums, including a covers, to pretty good effect. Look at it this way, I’d rather be seeing Eric than Elvis!
