No, no, no. I'm not surprised Coldplay's new single "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" is a little knock out. So was "Viva La Vida" and the album still sucked bad. And both heavily sample other songs, Joe Satriani in the earlier song, Peter Allen's "I Go To Rio" here.
So, yeah, Coldplay are good for a song per album, give or take, and this is it: buy it ), enjoy it, ignore the lyric if humanly possible, and for fuck's sake don't pretend it is cutting edge to use a synth because, well, it isn't. or a drum machine (like they do at the end here).
The truth is this is as pretty a piece of Coldplay product as you could have hoped for. The first guitar break is lovelier than lovely.
