Coldplay. You either love them or you hate them. Some say they tanked after Parachutes some they’re the new Messiah. Whatever you may think one thing is agreed upon, they are always in the news and not always for gossip.
The latest media blitz focuses on fundraising. “Kids Company” a British charity which provides support to vulnerable children will be the recipients of the proceeds from the Coldplay art show. Coldplay art? Actually album art- what a great idea to drum up cash.
Lead singer Christ Martin, has been a huge supporter of the cause for about four years and is now hold an exclusive exhibition of art
'Kids Company is a phenomenal organization that is very close to our hearts. While we were making the last album we did quite a lot of painting with our friend Paris,' Chris explained.
'We built a special wall in our studio and sprayed it, wrote on it and threw things at it until it eventually became the artwork for Mylo Xyloto [Coldplay's latest album]. This exhibition will be the first time that the wall has appeared in public.'
The second wall was painted by the children of Kids company and the artist known as Paris. All work will be on sale along with the original 7m x 2.5m wall that will become the bands next album artwork.
The show will take place at Proud Gallery in London next month .
