Over 1300 artists, 80 venues and 120,000 fans, music industry professionals, college radio tastemakers, bloggers, press, and musicians swarm New York City October 16-20th. Bands ranging from Pissed Jeans to OFF! will make up the lineup that in past years brought you Mumford and Sons and even Arcade Fire.
This is like fashion week for music. Showcases presenting what's new and what's trending and providing fans with entertainment and performers with conferences and panels to help them with their careers. All you need is a badge and some patience to get the most out of this event. At $149.00 for a badge your paying pennies to see bands that will chart the course for what music future holds. The 'show pass' gains you access to every venue on a first come first serve basis.
There are far too many bands to mention and name a venue- its in there. Alot centers around NYU so get your hipster on. There are hotel package deals for you hardcore party animals and did I mention that in the mix are parties and mixers?
