Christofer Drew released a new song called "Mr. Funny Man". It's going to be on his solo EP called The Modern Racket out on April 19th. Also, The Modern Racket can be available to anyone who donates to Charity:Water starting on April 12th.
The song is a glimpse of really old NeverShoutNever!, but his voice has changed a lot and this song isn't anywhere close to as upbeat as his previous tunes. It's catchy and intriguing and the lyrics show not only maturing in him, but little hints at the first couple of releases NSN! did. It isn't great, nor is it terrible.
Back when I liked Drew, I would get this instant feeling of elation and excitement when I heard a new song, or any of his tunes. Lately, especially with this song, I will listen to them and possibly enjoy them, but there's no excitement. There's no elation. He's lost his edge.
Regardless, donating to a good cause will get you the decent, nothing more, The Modern Racket. It's worth it for the organization. You can learn more about it, and donate here:
