"Have sex and smoke pot". Not exactly a cutting edge message, nor the most articulate. But it pretty much sums up Christofer Drew right there, if you throw in some new green hair. Granted he sounds exactly the same recorded as live, which is a redeeming quality, but that's about it.
He performed a new song "Getaway", and I must say it's. Terrible.
The song itself, to a young teenage girl without much musical knowledge, could be the best song ever. It's easy to get swept up in NeverShoutNever, because you can think he's a jerk and a sellout and horrific all you want but when it comes down to it, his tunes are actually decent. That's why so many people get sucked into his music- the music he plays isn't particularly great or unique, it's just the fact he does mediocrity so well.
He also performed another new song, "Silver Ecstasy". No doubt he's smoking in it too. There's even a couple comments on the video accusing him of being high. Regardless, it's no better than "Getaway". It sounds just like everything else he's ever done.
It's like he's too cliche' for me to hate him. I went through a period of time where I despised him so much because of his hypocrisy. But now it's just too much effort to dislike someone who's reached rock bottom. It's sad.
