The grande dame of drag Queen rock is hitting the road! Step back Madonna, Brittany, and Gaga your Master (or is it mistress?) is packing her sequins.
Cher has been around forever. Dressed by Bob Mackie or as the half breed the airbrushed nip and tucker must have had enough skin removed to create a mini Cher…wait.. maybe that’s Gaga? Anyway.. at age 67 she road in to NBC’s Today show on the back of an NYPD motorcycle to sing two songs off of her upcoming album. “Woman’s World” and “I Hope You Find It.” Will make you werrrrk.
But the interesting and oddly modest to the question of how she felt about her new album is really interesting. She told the Today show audience ” audience that she’s “just not a huge Cher fan,” but added, “Having said that, I think it’s good.”
But Cher hasn’t been just chillin’ at the garden party shes been in Vegas at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace but hasn’t toured since her 2004-05 outing that was originally called “The Farewell Tour” but later renamed to “You Never Can Say Goodbye Tour.”
With Good reason- she’s touring to support her new album Closer To The Truth. By the way she also spoke about what a drag touring is . “I understand why guys in bands tear up hotel rooms and throw TVs out the windows, because it’s a very lonely place. The only time you have fun is at the concerts.”
