What do you think is the dollar value of the 'biggest concert tour' ever?
Any idea?
558 million gross and its not done yet.
Ridiculous isn't it. For say hmm 2 hours work? Its not like the band sets up and really does any hard labor. The average factory worker can extend a great deal of energy, dock workers do the same in 2 hours. They make what maybe $60. tops? I'm not saying performing isn't work, it is- but I am saying it ain't hard labor.
So how to score my green?
Get some fly glasses and some flashy lights cuz that's what U2 will make the moment the doors open in Sao Paulo Brazil. That's on the way to the final total which should gross approximately $700 million dollars
$700. thousand bucks for their 360 tour. Wow, alot of you aging punters like those guys.
Buying tons of swag too, Whats a t-shirt go for? $40? The quintessential " I was there" boaster?
(*that's why I don't buy band shirts- I ain't your billboard. but I do have vintage Ramones and vintage Clash and 1 Pistols one that is so small I passed it down to the kid*)
In other words, more than 7 million tickets to 110 shows, makes this the "highest attended tour ever" as well. The Rolling Stones are second with their Voodoo Lounge tour of 1994-1995 at 6.4 million tickets, according to Boxscore.
So there you have it- richer than God with 10 times the worship, good ol' U2.
